Vacation Dreaming

I won’t even try to hide it. I love to travel. You could call me up on a Friday night and tell me that I have to be packed in 10 minutes and I would be ready to go! I even go so far as not unpacking my toiletries after each trip, just in case. For me traveling is an experience that I can't ever seem to put into words. I love exploring but more than that I love the element of escape that comes with travel.

Power Woman: Heidi Mankoff

Heidi grew up in Santa Clarita, CA and earned her undergraduate degree in International Business and Spanish at Whittier College. After moving around the country a bit, spending a little over a year in Florida and then a year up in Washington State, she returned to southern California. You are supposed to budget for a new car, budget for a new job, budget for marriage and children. But how do you budget if you don’t know how to construct a budget?

Penny for Your Thoughts
"Joy in Paris" by Jennifer Yelderman

Bonjour! The winds of change are blowing through and I have a gigantic piece of caution to throw in them. At the most opportune age of 32, I have decided to take a chance and move to Paris, still young enough to really enjoy the adventure, yet mature enough to make responsible decisions… well, for the most part.

On The $ Quick Tip

  1. Unused Airline Miles/Hotel Miles-
Contrary to popular belief, mileage on most airline programs actually does expire. If you aren’t planning a trip yourself, give the miles as a gift.
  2. Amazon.com Used Books-
The used books on Amazon.com offers you the opportunity to maximize your dollars. Often times you can get 3-4 books that are used in great shape for the price of 1 new book. We won't tell if you don't!
