It’s No Laughing Matter to Actress Molly Shannon

We all know the crazy comedy sketches of Molly Shannon on her years at Saturday Night Live. She was part of an amazing cast of characters, and was a reason that I would tune into SNL occasionally during those years. What many people don’t know is the story of her family’s financial struggles that resulted from a tragic car accident at the age of 4 that took the lives of her mother, cousin, and sister.

Power Woman

Laurel was born and raised in San Diego, California. Before she could write she was painting and playing the piano. Best Areas for Female Executives and Women Owned Businesses

Biz Journals recently came out with their list of the top 100 metropolitan areas for female executives and women owned businesses. At the top of the list are (1) San Francisco/Oakland, (2) Washington, and (3) New York City.

"It's important to note what a long way women have come," says Erin Fuller, executive director of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). "The number of woman-owned businesses is now growing at twice the rate for all businesses, and we forecast that it's going to continue at that speed."
